Komšije | visual identity for a specialty coffee shop

Komšije [‘komʃije (Serbian) = neighbors] is a coffee shop in Montenegro where you can find specialty coffee and a great community. In two words — it's a good neighborhood.

Naive and simple sketches play an important role in the visual component of the brand.
In the drawings, the truthfulness of the image or the laws of perspective are not at all important: it is much more important to capture and convey the mood, to depict, even though roughly or briefly, what you want to say.

The concept is based on the format of handwritten notes: a reminder, an important message, an announcement, which so often become a way of communication between neighbors, whether inside the same house, yard or block.

Notes become a form of reminder of important things, an expression of care or attention, — so it turns into both visual and semantic communication at the same time.

Komšije is a meeting place for all neighbors or a reason to become
ones at least spiritually.

Thank you!
Have a good day (and a good coffee)
